Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
Agricultural shows serve as platforms for knowledge exchange, showcasing innovations, and promoting best practices in farming. These events provide opportunities for farmers, researchers, and stakeholders to interact, learn, and adopt modern agricultural techniques. In Dutse Local Government Area, Jigawa State, agriculture is a primary economic activity, making agricultural shows critical for enhancing productivity and sustainability. These events bridge the gap between traditional farming practices and modern agricultural advancements, fostering a culture of learning and adaptation among farmers. This study explores the role of agricultural shows in facilitating knowledge sharing and their impact on agricultural development in Dutse LGA.

1.2 Statement of the Problem
